Creamy Garlic Pasta with Garlic Butter Steak Bites
This pasta is the perfect combination of Fettuccine Alfredo and my personal childhood favourite - buttered noodles. The medium rare, garlic butter steak bites take it over the top and make it a rich - yet protein-packed meal.

Instructions
For the pasta dough:
- Add the flour to a work surface and form a well. Add in your eggs and using a fork, slowly incorporate the eggs into the flour.
- When it becomes a shaggy dough, knead for 8-10 minutes or until a smooth dough is formed. Add more flour if needed while kneading. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and rest for 30 minutes.
- Split the dough into 4 equal pieces and cover in flour. Using a roller or pasta attachment, feed the dough in starting from size 1 and make your way up to size 6. Then slice into linguine or use the pasta attachment. Add enough flour to the pasta so it doesn't stick.
- When the sauce is ready, boil the pasta in salted water for 1-2 minutes or until desired texture.
For the steak/creamy garlic sauce:
- Drizzle steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt & pepper.
- Heat a large pan to medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side or until internal temperature is ~160-165F for medium rare. Remove and add to a cutting board to rest.
- Meanwhile bring a pot of water to a boil for your pasta. In the same pan you cooked the steaks, melt your butter on medium heat. Add in minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds or until fragrant, then add in your cream.
- Bring the cream to a simmer for 3-5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add in your grated parmesan and stir to combine. When your pasta is just about ready, save 1 cup of pasta water. Add the pasta into your sauce and decrease the heat slightly. Stir in pasta water and season with salt & pepper to taste.
- Leave it on low while you prep the garlic butter. In a bowl, melt the butter. Then, add in your minced garlic, parsley, salt & pepper and mix. Cube your steak, add it into a bowl and toss in your garlic butter.
- Serve your pasta with the steak bites on top and enjoy!
