Easy Crispy Chicken Wings
This recipe is my go-to when to comes to deep-fried chicken wings. It requires little to no prep, and the wings come out perfectly seasoned and crispy, every time. This makes it stress-free for a tailgate or a watch-party, because you can have plenty of wings to go around and will be done cooking in less than an hour!
My two favourite sauces are honey garlic, and a hot honey buffalo so feel free to use those sauces and toss those freshly fried wings.

Instructions
For the chicken wings:
- Preheat oil to 350F. Remove the chicken wings from the package and add to a large bowl. Add 1 teaspoon salt and toss to coat the wings so that they are evenly covered.
- In another bowl, add in your flour, cornstarch, remaining teaspoon of salt, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika and pepper. Whisk to combine.
- Pour the flour mixture over the wings and toss to coat until all the wings are coated. Add them to a wire-lined baking sheet so they don't stick before frying.
- Fry in batches, doing approximately 1 minute per wing. (For my fryer, it fits about 8-10 wings so I'll fry them for 8 minutes.) Check on them at the halfway mark to ensure they're not sticking and cooking evenly on both sides.
- Remove the wings and add them to a bowl until all the wings are done.
For the honey garlic sauce:
- Add all the ingredients except for the water and cornstarch, to a medium pot. Add the pot on medium-low heat until the honey has loosened, whisking until it's thoroughly combined.
- In small bowl, mix together the water and cornstarch until it's fully combined. After the sauce has been simmering for about 3 minutes, add in the water/cornstarch mixture. Whisk to combine.
- Allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes on low, whisking occasionally, then allow to cool slightly before tossing the wings.
For the hot honey buffalo:
- Add the butter, honey, hot sauce, and cayenne into a medium pot.
- Place on medium-low heat and allow the sauce to come to a simmer, whisking occasionally.
- Simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes until fully combined and slightly thickened. Allow to cool slightly before tossing the wings.
For the garlic parmesan ranch:
- Finely chop the parsley, dill, and green onion.
- Add all the ingredients, except the parmesan, to a large container and using an immersion blender, blitz until fully combined.
- Grate in the parmesan and give one final mix before setting in the fridge until you're ready to dip your wings.

There’s been a viral chicken caesar wrap floating around for a while and I thought it was time I tried it myself! The specific chicken caesar wrap is found at Vinny’s Cafe in Florida, and is loaded with romaine, chicken, parmesan, and dressing, and even includes potato chips! The mixture is chopped up finely and then stuffed into a green tortilla. I thought I’d put my own spin on it and add my favourite hot honey chicken bites, and bacon, which made this just a little more special.
